Yes, it wasn’t a big portion but it was perfect for me, very nice fish chips, recommend. Update, I went next day and had another, this time with peas, 🤤

Lovely polite staff. I had fishcake and chips. The best I've had in years. The portion size were perfect for me. Very reasonably priced too. Best thing food was the wrapped in paper. I will definitely be going back.

Brilliant haddock and chips for less than £9. Yorkshire fishcake for £2.50, a tasty bargain. Impossible to fault. Huge thanks to Google maps for helping me find this stunner just off the A19.

A great pit stop just off the A19. Beautiful delicate and big piece of fish. Crispy delicious batter. Not at all greasy and excellent chips to go with it. Price was good, the shop was immaculately clean, staff/owners were friendly and efficient, plenty of parking out front.
By far the best chippy in thirsk. Proper fish n chip shop chips! Which are rare these days. Staff are friendly too.

Lovely food, just like it used to be (and still should be) Ordered a fish butty, decent size, light and crispy batter, not greasy or oily. Reasonably priced (£5.50)

I am of an age when I can remember the taste of fish and chips to die for. Fish and chips from a shop that doesn't provide pizzas kebabs et Al. I have just had the best fish and chips I have tasted in years. Thank you Long Street

We popped in for the first time today instead of the white horse cafe in Thirsk centre which has been our usual go to as we did not know of your existence. The food we were served was of much better quality, and not greasy unlike the white horse fish & chip shop.
Chips were perfectly cooked with a nice colouring to them and not anemic looking like other places, battered sausage was piping hot with a lovely crispy coating, and the fish cakes were 10/10 👌🏻 plus the salt and vinegar was out on the counter… as again some places keep it behind the counter and won’t let you put your own on which I hate. If there was one thing I was to nit pick over it would be the amount of chips given in the portion size… another good handful would have been spot on.
All in all though I’m still giving a 10/10 and definitely our new chippy when we are in the area. 😋👌🏻😀- Service

Went there on Friday on my way to Pickering had fishcake and chips wow really lovely proper old school chip shop also a poor customer dropped his fish and chips outside the shop and the owner gave him a free fish and chips as a replacement definitely will be going back when passing 5 stars all day long thank you

Proper chippy chips served in a 'bag' with scraps and a portion of delightful mushy peas the fish is fresh and the batter to die for, I call religiously every Friday lunchtime now, the best Fish & Chip shop in North Yorkshire in my opinion the owners are very friendly and welcoming... Try it I promise you will not be disappointed
